Google’s expanding their territory from a search orientated company, creating these pair of sleek new-technology goggles!
The goggles itself features a downloadable image recognition app, which uses an image based search on pictures that are taken by handheld devices. For example, if you took an image of a famous landmark, it will carry out searches and display useful information on screen. It could identify labels, brands or landmarks displaying vital information eliminating traditional text based searches.
Google hasn’t provided product details yet for Glass and has not certainly set a date for consumers to lay their hands on either. However, if you really are that keen Google has announced that it will take in orders. Providing you are an I/O attendee, you will be granted access for $1,500 a pop, hopefully next year. Starving for a piece? Get in line as developers all huddle up in line to throw their money down.
“We are always pushing the limits in our technology, and Project Glass is no exception. It is designed to help you live in the moment – even when you’re falling from the sky,” quoted from Project Glass team on Google+.
It may or may not look as snazzy as you’d think, but it does come equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. BlogByts were hoping Google would eventually come up with a new suit to go up against Stark Industries, but guess it’s no way near what we hoped for.
“Still light years away from creating this killer machine…”
